Golden Opportunities

A Golden Opportunity Dog is generally an older dog that resides at the breeder’s home, which the breeder is trying to place. There are a number of reasons the breeder wants to place these dogs in new homes. They may be retired show dogs, a show prospect that just hasn’t panned out, a breeder return (a dog the breeder bred and placed but later got back), or simply a special dog the breeder wants to place.
These “GO Dogs” are usually well trained and socialized, up to date on all shots and health matters, as well as their likes and dislikes known. These dogs can be the perfect companions for someone that does not have the time to work with and train a small puppy. There is still an adjustment period for any dog in any new surroundings, but generally a GO Dog will be better behaved than a puppy will.
